It was a few days before the elections for the Karnataka assembly. The signal at Mekhri circle (North Bangalore) had turned red. I saw this lady selling cashew fruits. I struck a conversation with her. She said that Sonia Gandhi was coming to the neighboring palace grounds to address an election rally. She had bought cashew fruits from a town called Sidlaghatta, a town about 70Km north of Bangalore. She was hoping for brisk business because of Sonia Gandhi’s rally.
